Summer Music Series in Evanston

MISSION: Summer Music Festival Series -Our mission is to host entertainment in the greenspace of our community. The events are designed to foster community fellowship and to revitalize the beautiful spaces in our neighborhood. These events are free to the public and are a collaboration of the Evanston Community Council and the East Walnut Hills Assembly.

ABOUT US: The Festivals of Evanston was founded by a group of neighbors from the East Walnut Hills and Evanston communities. As we continue to work together on the music summer series, we have decided to change the event name to be inclusive for all the collaborators. Our new committee, Festivals of Neighbors, is named after the community partnership between the East Walnut Hills and Evanston communities. The flagship event, 202One EvanstonFEST- A Day of Fun& Music in Evanston Park was first held in 2021. This event allowed neighbors to enjoy the wonderful greenspace and to fellowship while enjoying wonderful music in Evanston Park. This event was successful, and the committee moved forward to expand the festival series from one to five! Music is something that people who differ on everything and anything can have in common. We have joined forces to provide entertainment for everyone in attendance.Expanding from one festival to five, we have decided that the festivals will always keep its roots in Evanston Park where it began. The festivals will feature a diverse lineup of Gospel, Contemporary, R&B/ Urban and Classical music. Our events are free and to the public because we have outstanding individuals and corporate donors who help us offset our production costs.
