Regional Collaboration

Evanston Community Council, under the leadership of President Anzora Adkins, has embarked upon an unprecedented and progressive initiative of regional collaboration with the neighboring communities of Walnut Hills and East Walnut Hills. President Adkins is known for saying, “We can no longer operate in isolation. In today’s political-economy, we must work with our neighbors to share resources and leverage each other’s assets towards the development of our communities as a region.” Leadership from all three communities realized the inherent benefit to this cross-community collaboration when each of the three neighborhoods was awarded monies from the City of Cincinnati to promote development in each of the neighborhoods. The three communities presented their plans together and was awarded the monies due to the impression this left upon City Council leadership. Moving forward, the three communities intend on continuing this regional and collaborative effort towards the betterment of all our neighborhoods.
